Evaluación de la Morfología de los Conductos Radiculares en Incisivos Inferiores en una Muestra de la Población Guatemalteca. Mediante el uso de la Tomografía Computarizada de Haz Cónico

El propósito de este estudio fue observar y describir la morfología más frecuente de los conductos radiculares en incisivos inferiores en la población guatemalteca utilizando tomografía computarizada de haz cónico La muestra de 700 imágenes de CBCT, con un campo de visión de 12x12, de pacientes que fueron atendidos para diagnóstico en un centro radiológico de Guatemala, se analizaron. Se evaluaron un total de 1603 incisivos inferiores. Los observadores fueron previamente calibrados, se evaluaron los cortes axial, coronal y sagital, para determinar la morfología de los conductos radiculares de los incisivos inferiores (centrales y laterales) según la clasificación de Vertucci. De los 749 centrales y 775 laterales inferiores observados, se encontraron que 1524 (95%) poseían un conducto y 79 (5%) dos conductos. La clasificación de Vertucci más prevalente fue tipo I (95%) seguida de tipo III (3%), tipo V (1%), tipo II (1%) los tipos VI, VII y VIII no se encontraron en este estudio. En cuanto al género fue mayor el porcentaje de observar dos conductos en hombres que en mujeres según la prueba estadística de Chi cuadrado la significancia estadística fue de 0.003. Hubo una variación en la morfología del conducto radicular sin embargo ninguno presentó dos raíces.Downloads
